A day to promote the interest in global urbanization, push forward cooperation and opportunities, and addressing challenges of urbanization
Naipolitans, Book Bunk Kenya, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, and other partners are putting together a Nairobi Edition for this years World Cities Day.
This will include a series of events that celebrate the diversity of the city, its history and heritage from a planning perspective, look at research work and projects going on within the city as well as dialogue and discuss various characteristics that surround and affect our lives as urban dwellers.
Among the items lined up include displays and discussions of previous and existing city plans that look at various aspects of the city from a historical urban planning perspective, the challenges that have come with this and the way forward.
A discussion involving policy makers, planners, and other professionals will also be held in line with various themes that touch urbanization.
